What is OpenArt?
OpenArt is a next-generation AI creativity platform that enables you to generate, edit, and explore stunning images, videos, and other media using advanced AI models.
How do I sign up?
You can sign up with Google, Discord or email+password. Once registered, you’ll have access to credits, generation tools, and community features.
Device compatibility:
OpenArt works on desktop and mobile browsers. For the best experience, use Chrome or Safari.
💳 Subscriptions & Billing
Is the subscription in US dollars or country-specific?
Subscriptions are billed in USD. No country-specific pricing is offered.
How long is the 50% discount available?
The 50% discount applies to annual billing promotions. Duration depends on active offers.
How do I cancel or pause my subscription and what happens to credits?
Manage this in Account Settings → Subscriptions → Change Plan → Choose Free and continue the Prompts. Cancelling stops renewals; unused credits don’t roll over and will be lost.
Do purchased add-on credits roll over or expire?

Unused add-on credits, the portion above your monthly plan credits, will roll over to the next month.

For example, if you’re on the Infinite plan with 24,000 monthly credits and purchase 15 add-ons (75,000 extra credits), you’ll have a total of 99,000 credits this month. If you use 10,000 credits, you’ll have 89,000 left.

At the start of next month, your 24,000 base credits will reset, and the unused 65,000 add-on credits will roll over — giving you a total of 89,000 credits again.

Can I change or cancel add-ons?
Yes. You can increase, decrease, or cancel add-ons for future billing cycles.
What happens to add-ons if I cancel my subscription?
If you cancel your Advanced/Infinite plan, associated add-ons are also canceled.
Can I buy extra credits without a subscription?
No. Extra credits can only be purchased as an add-on to an active subscription.
What payment options are available (e.g., PayPal)?
Most debit and credit cards are accepted. We also have Amazon Pay, link and Cash App. Unfortunately, we don’t have PayPal option yet.
Why am I seeing upgrade prompts despite having an active subscription?
Upgrade prompts may appear when your available credits have been fully used. To continue generating, you can either upgrade your subscription or purchase additional credits.
What happens when I downgrade / cancel?
The change takes effect in the next billing cycle. You lose access to the extras or credits from the higher plan when that cycle ends.
Can I get a refund if unsatisfied?
No. Our strict cancellation policy will apply. You may cancel your auto renewal to avoid future charges.
Cancel you cancel my plan and refund me?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription and it will take effect in the next billing cycle. Our policy does not allow refunds. In exceptional cases, you may contact [email protected] (Note: Minimum processing fee will apply)
I forgot to cancel my monthly subscription. Can you cancel and get a refund?
We have a strict cancellation policy, so we’re unable to issue a refund. However, we can disable the auto-renewal on your subscription to ensure you won’t incur any future charges.
Team Plan vs multiple seats on other plans
Team Plan: centralized billing and shared assets/models.
I accidentally subscribed to yearly, Can you switch my yearly plan to monthly?
Our team will process the downgrade to the monthly plan and issue a partial refund for the unused portion of your yearly subscription. Please note that a minimum processing fee (10%) will be applied to cover payment handling and administrative costs associated with the refund.
Multiple seats on basic plans: seats cannot share content or collaborate; it’s just multiple independent accounts.
🎨 Credits & Generations
Can I create images with transparent backgrounds?
Yes, You can use the remove background feature.
How do I keep trained characters consistent across images/videos?
Use the Consistent Character feature, reference images, and consistent prompts.
How long can videos be?
Standard videos are 5–10 seconds. But we do have a new feature called One Click Story where you can generate up to 60 seconds.
Can I edit videos directly within OpenArt?
No. OpenArt does not currently support direct video editing. Our platform is designed for generating and training visuals, such as images and video frames, but editing tasks like adding effects and cutting must be done using external video editing software.
What should I do if credits are locked or lost?

How can I access saved albums and history?
View these under the Image or Videos tab then select Albums. Deleted creation cannot be recovered.
What’s the difference between Character Training and Model Training?

Character training focuses on your character while Model training captures broader styles.

  • Character Training is designed to focus specifically on one character. It ensures consistency in appearance, style, and personality across different generations. When you create a character, you also gain access to additional features tailored for character development—such as the ability to generate consistent expressions, poses, and variations that stay true to your reference images.
  • Model Training, on the other hand, is broader in scope. It captures general artistic styles, themes, or visual patterns rather than focusing on one character. Model training is a more basic approach with four available modes, allowing you to guide outputs toward certain aesthetics or design directions, but without the detailed customization that character training provides.
How can I add expressions or poses to characters?
Use detailed prompts and reference images.
Do unused monthly credits roll over?
No. Credits reset each month and do not carry over.
How many credits do generation operations cost?
Costs depend on the model or tool being used. The interface indicates the number of credits required for each generation action (e.g. standard, video generation, upscaling, model training, etc).
Why aren’t my monthly credits reset?

You can check your next credit refill date on the Manage Subscriptions Page.

  • For yearly subscriptions, your credits reset monthly according to your billing anchor date and time.
  • For monthly subscriptions, your credits reset monthly after each payment is completed. The payment will be billed according to the billing anchor date and time.
Do I lose credits if a generation fails?
No. In most cases where generation fails, credits are refunded automatically.If you don’t see the refund immediately, refresh or check again later.
⚡ General / Technical Issues
Is there API access?
No public API is available currently.
Why is the system slow today?
System performance may be slower during periods of heavy traffic. Our team actively monitors server performance and scaling to minimize delays. If you experience extended wait times - please contact [email protected].
Why is “failed risk control” flagging safe prompts?
Filters may be overly strict. Rephrase your prompt or use another model.
Will there be a mobile app?
A mobile app is under consideration, but not released.
How do I fix hands/feet issues?
Use refined prompts, inpainting, or external editing.
Why do models struggle with certain body types/actions?
Training data limitations. Try detailed prompts or upload up to 10-15 diverse reference images for character consistency.
Can I create NSFW content?
No. NSFW is restricted and flagged.
Will new users still receive free credits?
Yes. When you create an account, you’ll automatically receive a set of free credits to get started.
Do I need to stay tabbed in for images to generate?
No, generation continues in the background.
How can I achieve photorealistic results?
Use quality image models and refined prompts
How can I generate accurate text in images?
AI struggles with text. Use specialized models or editing tools.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Does staff answer emails? Does OpenArt have direct contact?
Yes, via [email protected]. You can also join our Discord to talk to team members directly.
Why do some images include watermarks?
You can remove the watermark at the time of download. When your video is ready, click the Download button and use the available toggle option to disable the watermark before saving the file. Make sure to adjust this setting prior to downloading.
